From Spitfires to Sabres: MRL Productions returns to Clacton Airshow
After supporting historic aircraft in 2023, MRL Productions returns to Clacton Airshow this time supporting one of the most recognisable jet fighters of the Cold War.
The 2025 Clacton Airshow featured the debut appearance of an F-86 Sabre, with MRL Productions sponsoring the aircraft's display. The Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk 6 is the last of its kind ever built and is powered by an Orenda 14 engine producing 7,400lb of thrust.
It was certainly a little different from the Spitfire and Mustang that MRL supported at the 2023 show.
The Sabre was joined in the 2025 programme by aircraft including the RAF Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, a de Havilland Vampire, BAC 167 Strikemasters and the Lynx helicopter.
For MRL, supporting the Airshow has become a great way to be involved in one of the biggest events on the Essex calendar. It's also a good fit for a company involved in live events.
An airshow might look very different from a conference, exhibition or festival, but the principle is the same: there's a huge amount happening behind the scenes to make the experience work for the people watching.
And when the event is taking place on the Clacton seafront, you've got a pretty spectacular backdrop to work with. The 2025 Airshow was another memorable weekend for the town, and another year of MRL supporting the event.
